Introduction

My name is Michelle Antoinette Ricardo DuBose, and I am soon-to-be-engaged to Bruno Alois Bruelhart. He'll be commissioning as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army when he graduates from Texas Christian University in May, so we're on severe time constraints. We talked about it, and I decided to start planning now to cut down on time and hopefully costs in the future.

We're still unsure of where we'd like to get married, but it will most likely be in Fort Worth, as this is where we are living together and going to school. He is originally from western New Mexico and I, from southeast Texas. His family is from Switzerland, and my mom is from the Philippines. We've considered the Philippines as a possibile location. I would love to have a destination wedding, but we don't want to inconvenience our families and close friends.

Also, we already have a ceremony location in mind here in Fort Worth - St. Stephen Presbyterian Church. It's a very special church to us. When we began dating our freshman year at TCU, Bruno invited me to attend services with him at St. Stephen. I was raised Roman Catholic, but everyone at St. Stephen has always been so kind and they are such an inclusive community. Not only that, but the reverend, Dr. Ritsch, is absolutely phenomonal. He's counseled and aided Bruno and I throughout our relationship. I grew up with the intention of having a very traditional Filipino-style Roman Catholic ceremony, but at this point I really can't see anyone else uniting Bruno and I as husband and wife.

As freshmen, Bruno and I would take late-night walks together, talking about things important to us and our relationship, and we would always end up walking to the deserted St. Stephen courtyard. It's a very special place to us, and a part of me really hopes that Bruno will propose to me in that same courtyard.

I'm very frustrated because they used to have their ceremony rules and fees listed on their website, but it isn't there anymore. I intend to contact them about it soon.
